Offshore Wind Power
Underwater Hydraulic Robotic Arm
The sea area around Taiwan is rich in wind energy and is a key project for the development of renewable energy and also is an important opportunity to increase the proportion of energy autonomy. In offshore construction operations or follow up operations and maintenance, it is often necessary to use underwater vehicles to deploy underwater equipment such as underwater junction box and underwater measuring instruments.
In order to install and connect the equipment smoothly, the underwater vehicle needs to work with the underwater robotic arm. The underwater robotic arm is mainly a hydraulic system and has remote control functions. The degree of freedom for the arm has different options based on the task requirements, and generally a claw is configured at the end for the grabbing operations. Therefore, the underwater hydraulic robotic arm equipped with multiple degrees of freedom is an indispensable engineering technology for the construction and operating maintenance of offshore wind power related facilities.
