Offshore Wind Power
Floating Wind turbine Platform Assessment and Analysis
Floating wind turbine is a feasible solution for the development of wind energy in deep water areas, however, the site selection, floating station type, system collocation, construction and installation are all different from the feasibility assessment considerations of fixed offshore wind farms; especially the design and analysis techniques of floating wind turbine are quite complex and difficult areas, not only need to consider various loads to be calculated by wind turbines on land, but also to further consider the interaction of wave forces, ocean currents, hydrodynamics and foundation infrastructure in wave environments, load of radiation and reflected wave, as well as related to the techniques of such as mooring systems that balance static and dynamic stability.
The content of the Floating Wind turbine Platform Analysis of the Center includes the exploration of platform stability, seakeeping analysis, platform structural strength analysis and assessment criteria, design requirements and analysis modes of mooring and anchoring systems.
