AQUASENSE 33 HYBRID
“AQUASENSE 33 HYBRID” was specifically commissioned to TC Yachts to be responsible for the hull modeling design and manufacturing after an internationally renowned chain resort hotel group expanded the business disposition in Asia. SOIC and Nagaoka Machinery were responsible for the design planning and development of the hybrid power system, and SOIC served the supervisory work during manufacturing period.
The total length of the “AQUASENSE 33 HYBRID” is 10 meters, with a full width of 2.80 meters, waterline length of 8.40 meters, and the draft is 0.57 meters. The ship is a twin-engine parallel hybrid ship, equipped with two sets of 260hp diesel engines, two 25kW power motors, two 60kW motor drives, one 23kWh power lithium battery pack, one 4kW DC converter, and one 15kW two-way AC/DC inverter, combined with an intelligent energy management system, highly integrated and fully automated control, as well as recharging the lithium battery pack directly through the power generation of a very small power motor or recharging by selecting the harbor charging station, without the need to install a huge generator in the cabin, in order to achieve the function of charging while navigating. The generated electricity can provide passengers with comfortable services of air conditioning and a refrigerator bar during the voyage. The cruise speed of the ship is 7 knots, with a maximum ship speed of 32 knots. Charging time is 1.5 hours, and it holds 8 passengers.
In recent years, energy consumption has become a topic of concern in the world. The development of hybrid power ships has become a mainstream trend in Europe, but it is still in its starting stage in Asia. The observation of this international trend facilitated the cooperation between TC Yachts, SOIC, and Nagaoka Machinery to jointly promote the research and development of a domestic hybrid power ship.
This yacht was unveiled in the elegant style of dark blue piano lacquer and a teak hull at a boat show, especially prominent surrounded by other white large yachts, and favored and highly inquired about by many visitors and foreign buyers during the exhibition, also allowing TC Yacht to gain more confidence in the continuous development of hybrid power boats.
